Blaize is a leading provider of a proprietary purpose-built, full-stack hardware architecture and low-code/no-code software platform that enables edge AI processing solutions at the network’s edge for computing in multiple large and rapidly-growing markets — automotive, mobility, retail, security, industrial automation, medical devices, and many others. Blaize’s novel solution solves the technical problem that edge AI processing requires across those verticals — very low latency and high thermal and power efficiency — which previously relied on retrofitting sub-optimized AI solutions designed more for data centers and the cloud. Blaize has previously raised over $180M from strategic investors such as DENSO, Daimler, Magna, and Samsung, and financial investors such as Franklin Templeton, Temasek, GGV, and others. With headquarters in El Dorado Hills (CA), Blaize has teams in San Jose (CA) and subsidiaries in Hyderabad (India) and Leeds and Kings Langley (UK), with 300+ employees worldwide. Follow Blaize on Twitter (@blaizeinc) and LinkedIn (Blaize).
The Blaize Sr. Field Applications Engineer will be tasked with building the Blaize brand and managing interactions with customers in the territory. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn an emerging disruptive technology and accelerate our entrance into the market. Not only will you quickly become the technology go-to person for our customers, but you’ll help to resolve issues and grow our platform to become a market leader.
The Blaize Field Applications Engineering (FAE) organization is part of our Architecture and Customer Support group, which includes the factory support team (Customer Engineering) and the applications/solutions team (Solutions Engineering). The Field and Factory groups work closely together to ensure a seamless delivery of technical expertise to support our growth during pre- and post-sales phases. The FAE group is managed out of the UK office.
This individual will understand and love technology and concurrently delight in delivering a positive experience for external customers. Your primary responsibility is supporting our customers throughout their evaluation, adoption, and deployment of Blaize computing platforms. Blaize sells integrated hardware platforms, so the majority of the FAE engagement will be centered on using the Blaize SDK to help our clients develop application code. There are some hardware support requirements, but as we are delivering standards-based products (modules, PCIe boards, and appliances) this is a minority of the role.
