Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

About the role:

The Internal Platform and Services organization is primarily focused on delivering Hashicorp Cloud Platform. As part of the Infrastructure group, we leverage Hashicorp products to solve the problems they are designed for. We provide repeatable and reliable infrastructure to development teams, and provide feedback to enhance Hashicorp’s products. The Infrastructure Runtime team is focused on operating the runtime environment at scale across multiple regions.

In this role you can expect to:

• Design, implement, and maintain a secure and scalable infrastructure platform for delivering cloud native applications
• Own and ensure that internal and external SLA’s meet and exceed expectations, System centric KPIs are continuously monitored and improved
• Create tools for automating deployment, configuration, monitoring and operations of infrastructure platform components
• Determine when and how to automatically scale infrastructure components using measured indicators
• Operate failover and failback of infrastructure components across multiple regions

You may be a good fit for our team if you have:

• Developed tools with Go or another low-level programming language
• Experience improving operations and maintenance of production systems in a Linux and public cloud environment
• Hands on experience with Containerization and Orchestration technology such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Supported multi-region systems and applications
• Working knowledge of industry best practices with regard to information security
• Experience using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure (or equivalent Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience operating secrets management and service mesh technology
