Spanish Localisation Specialist (Maternity Cover)
About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding Spanish Localisation Specialist. In this role, the individual will work with the ES and international teams to improve and continue developing and localising the ES site, software and apps. This role will be offered on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 10 months.
Top candidates will have at least one year's of experience in product localisation, translation and ideally some experience in content marketing. The individual should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, global environment where analytical skills, as well as linguistic and cultural knowledge, are essential. The role is remote first, with the option to work from the London office.
What You’ll Do
Product Localisation & QA: Translate new UI strings from US software into Spanish. Review and test the software and app to ensure proper functionality and a good user experience for the culture and Spanish language.
Marketing Localisation: Localise marketing and support material, including surveys, emails, social media assets, videos, as well as content for landing pages, our blog and our Help Centre.
Website Information Architecture: Ensure that the Spanish site navigation makes sense and that topics are correctly organised.
Collaborate with other teams (including product, product marketing, SEO & SEM, branding & marketing, as well as sales & support teams) to provide localised product and content.
At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
At least 1 year’s experience in product localisation and/or translation from English to Spanish
Fast learner, detail-oriented and organised person who is able to work both independently and in collaboration with a global team
Deep understanding of the site-specific culture and its specificities to produce high-quality localisation and aid in product research and development
A good technical understanding of CMS platforms, CAT and project management tools
Strong written and verbal communication and writing skills
Fluency in Spanish required
Ideally, You'll Also Have
Degree in a relevant field preferred, for example, digital marketing or communication
Proficiency in advanced spreadsheet functionalities
Knowledge of home design and renovation industry
