About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Enablement Manager to join our team and help us build a world-class technical enablement program. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical enablement programs for our global Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Success and Professional Services teams. You will also work closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams to gather in-depth product knowledge and translate it into easy-to-understand enablement materials.

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical enablement programs for our global GTM functions, including Sales, Solution Engineering, Customer Success and Professional Services teams
  • Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing and Engineering teams to gather in-depth product knowledge, translating it into easy-to-understand enablement materials
  • Develop technical roadmaps, curricula, and training materials, ensuring they are continuously updated with product advancements
  • Educate team members on the value proposition of our products and associated technologies, while participating in discussions throughout the organization to ensure successful deployment
  • Work in tandem with the education services teams to align on content creation and the delivery of enablement for customers and partners
  • Organize and lead technical training sessions, workshops, and webinars
  • Engage closely with global teams to understand region-specific technical challenges and address them proactively
  • Partner within the Revenue Enablement team to integrate technical training into broader enablement programs
  • Measure the effectiveness of technical enablement initiatives, refining based on feedback and evolving needs
  • Create a repository of technical documentation, videos, and other resources for on-demand learning
  • Stay updated with industry trends, ensuring our technical teams are always a step ahead in their knowledge and capabilities
  • Drive a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the organization
  • And any additional tasks required by manager


  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Training, Technical Support, Solution Engineering, or a related field within the B2B software sector
  • Previous quota-carrying solutions engineering experience is a strong plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud infrastructure software, notably API Lifecycle Management, Microservices Architecture, Kubernetes, and related cloud-native technologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in constructing and executing technical enablement strategies and execution
  • Proven experience in strategy, hands-on field training, and enablement program delivery within a global B2B software context
  • Ability to dissect intricate technical concepts and relay them in a user-friendly manner
  • Adeptness with contemporary training platforms and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus
Kong has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to specific candidate location, role, skill set and level of experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards including sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role. Benefits may vary depending on location. US based employees are typically offered access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short and long term disability benefits, basic life and AD&D insurance, among others. The typical base pay range for this role in the US is $175,000-205,000.
