Requirements:

Lead the efforts to build and maintain the cloud setup for Turtlemint and its SaaS clients.

An ideal candidate will have deep knowledge across many of the following areas

Site Reliability: Ensure a highly available, secure, scalable and efficient cloud deployment.

Availability: Building a highly available setup will require experience working with critical production systems, provisioning, observability and incident management

• Security: Expertise on security should include familiarity with threat models, hardening, vulnerability assessments and fixes, access management and audits etc.

• Scalability: Prior experience working with highly scalable production environments responding to varying loads

• Efficiency: A good understanding of cloud costs for the deployments. Experience optimizing resources for performance while controlling costs.

• Cloud Expertise

• Linux:

  • Hardening, Troubleshooting, user and access management

• Network:

  • Expertise setting up secure, efficient and clean network architectures

• DevOps:

  • Build automation: Prior experience working with CI/CD pipelines for Microservices, prominent tools and frameworks

  • A good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes

• Data / Storage Layer

  • Experience monitoring and tuning databases (MongoDB, Postgres), caches (Redis) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and ELK stack

Bonus:

• Understanding of microservices architecture, application security, data security.

• Prior experience with proxies (nginx), version control (GIT), alerting & monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Instana), automation frameworks (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform), Python / Bash scripting and other DevOps tools

• Familiarity with one or more of Java, NodeJS programming languages

• Experience implementing DevSecOps

• Experience implementing ISO/IEC 27001, SOC2, ISMS

Ideal background:

• BTech / BE or higher Degree in Computer Science or IT

• Minimum 8+ years of prior work experience in SRE + DevOps role

• Experience interacting with Client

• Prior experience in a start-up is a plus
